CRANBERRY TWP — Two people face charges after an incident left a hotel room damaged and bloody.

According to court documents, Paul W. Mosberger, 45, of Evans City and Kari Galbreath, 43, of Cranberry Township face charges following the Saturday incident at a township hotel.

Documents state officers were called to the hotel just before midnight Saturday for a report of a female yelling for help. Reports also indicated a nude male was standing outside of the room.

Officers found Mosberger inside of the room with Galbreath, who asked to speak with police. The complaint states Mosberger became irritated and was removed from the room. Both were, “visibly intoxicated,” the complaint states.

Inside the room, officers allegedly found damage to light fixtures, the walls, a flat screen television and the door. A criminal complaint estimates the damage at $500. Police also allegedly found two glass smoking devices and hypodermic needles, with a third smoking device allegedly found in Mosberger’s pocket.

The complaint states officers also found blood on the floor and bed sheets, which Galbreath said was hers, “but could not articulate what happened” due to her condition.

The two were arrested on outstanding warrants through the Butler County Sheriff’s Office and taken to jail, where Galbreath told officers that Mosberger had “beat her up.” She told officers she was punched at least 10 times in the head. Officers observed redness and a bruise on the side of her head and left ear, the complaint states.

Mosberger is charged with simple assault, criminal mischief-property damage, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

Galbreath is charged with criminal mischief and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

The two were arraigned Monday by District Judge David Kovach, who set a $10,000 unsecured bond for each. Preliminary hearings are scheduled for Nov. 9.
