Flooding DME

Dispatch reports indicated parts of Slippery Rock Township were experiencing flooding Saturday night.

Several stations were dispatched along with the water rescue team to Harmony Road and Weathervane Drive around 8:30 p.m. due to reports of a vehicle stuck in flood water up to its tires.

Harmony Road was also briefly shut down at Centreville Pike due to a flooded roadway.

A flash flood warning is in effect for Slippery Rock and surrounding townships in northern Butler County until 11:15 p.m. due to heavy rains earlier in the day.
