LANCASTER TWP — Township supervisors approved a bid for phase one of the Four Springs Park project at Monday night’s meeting.

The project went to low bidder DemEx in Connoquenessing Township for $337,046 to construct a park at the corner of West Lancaster Road and Route 19.

The first of six phases includes a one-mile walking trail, an entranceway into the park, parking facilities and stormwater management systems.

The park’s plan, approved in July 2015, will be partially funded by a $300,000 Community Conservation and Partnerships Program, or C2P2, grant, which must be used by 2020.
