A Butler man remains jailed while awaiting out-of-state extradition on a felony warrant.

Edward C. Fink, 31, is in the Butler County Prison on a detainer filed by Ohio authorities. He's also being held for a Butler County probation violation.

Fink was arraigned Monday on a fugitive from justice charge stemming from the bench warrant out of Mahoning County, Ohio.

County Detective Tim Fennell filed the charge after authorities in Ohio notified counterparts here that they planned to extradite the defendant on their warrant issued July 11 in connection with a 2016 felony drug case for cocaine possession.

The arraignment came nearly two weeks after Butler police arrested him on their own warrant in a 2017 drug case.

Police said they were looking for Fink on Aug. 8 when they found him hiding on the roof of a storage garage on Alpha Avenue.

He was placed in the county jail on $10,000 bail in connection with the city's drug charges.

But Fink also was wanted on a county bench warrant that was issued in June after he failed to appear for a parole revocation hearing in a 2015 drug case.

On Monday before District Judge William Fullerton, court records showed, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance in the city drug case. He was ordered to pay $674 in fines and court costs.
