SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University’s online doctoral degree in special education has been ranked one of the best 25 programs in the country for 2019 by CollegeValuesOnline.com.

The website’s editors looked at approximately 45 institutions that offered online doctorates in special education, education and other closely related online programs.

The results were then narrowed down, and the ranking of the top 25 schools was then based on raw affordability. SRU, ranked No. 17, was the only institution in Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education to make the list.

SRU’s program prepares educators and human service agency workers for leadership positions in the field of special education.
