ADAMS TWP — An open house to showcase plans for various projects on Route 228 is scheduled for later this month.

PennDOT will hold the open house from 5 to 7 p.m. May 30 at the Adams Township Municipal Building, 690 Valencia Road.

Plans for the Route 228 Mars Railroad Bridge West Expansion Project in Cranberry Township, Seven Fields and Adams Township will be on display. PennDOT officials and project team members will attend to answer questions and address concerns from the public.

The project includes widening and safety improvements over 3.25 miles, extending from just west of the Franklin Road intersection to about .5 miles east of the Beaver Street Extension intersection. The project will widen existing Route 228 from two lanes to four.
