BUTLER TWP — Police are on the hunt for a man suspected of stealing a customer's vehicle Friday morning from the Sheetz convenience store on New Castle Road.

The victim told Butler Township police that he left the keys on the passenger seat before he went into the store around 7:15 a.m.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 50s who is clean shaven with a thin build.

He is suspected of a taking a maroon Chevrolet HHR with the Pennsylvania license plate ETL4665. There is a small sticker on the vehicle's back window.

A be-on-the-look out advisory for the suspect and vehicle was issued around 8:40 a.m. to all police departments in the county.

At the time of the alert, the vehicle was possibly seen in Forward Township and could have been heading to Evans City.

At least one security camera captured images of the suspect, according to police. By late morning, authorities were still waiting for an enhanced photo of the thief before releasing it to the media.
