Saturday — Five people were arrested for driving under the influence during a sobriety checkpoint. Additionally, one person was cited for underage drinking and five traffic tickets were issued.In all, 94 vehicles were detained during the joint operation conducted by state police and the Butler County DUI Task Force.11:14 a.m. Friday — Jordan Perretti, 28, of New Castle was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication on Interstate 79 at the Route 422 exit in Muddy Creek Township.7:30 p.m. Thursday — A 17-year-old boy, who police did not identify, is suspected of stealing six prescription pills containing hydrocodone from a home in the 300 block of Sunmine Road in Clinton Township.March 12 — An unknown burglar stole about $1,200 worth of copper at the Stanzione scrap yard on Brewer Road in Clinton Township. The break-in and theft happened between March 10 and 12.11:22 a.m. March 11 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Joseph J. Belak, 40, of Sarver crashed and rolled onto its side on Lardintown Road in Clinton Township.

9:45 p.m. Saturday — Andrew J. Hawk, 16, of Rimersburg was reported as a runaway when he did not return home after an argument with his mother at 11:45 a.m. Saturday. The boy is described as white, 6 feet, 1 inch tall and 160 pounds with sandy hair cut short and hazel eyes. He has an earring in each ear.Anyone with information about the boy's whereabouts is asked to call police at 814-226-1710.11:25 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Ellen A. Schwarz, 33, of Butler struck a deer on Interstate 80 in Richland Township.

2:24 p.m. Sunday — Justine M. Busler, 44, of Brackenridge, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 near Pony Farm Road in North Buffalo Township.

3:56 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Kayla M. Coryea, 19, of Grove City was rear-ended by a sport utility vehicle on Route 19 near Christopher Drive in East Lackawannock Township. Police said Sylvia L. Heim, 64, of Clarks Mills, the SUV driver, was cited for careless driving.
