City paving project begins on Friday
A contractor will mill streets Friday to begin Butler’s annual street paving project.
The streets that will be milled and then resurfaced are Charles Street from North Main to McKean streets, Carbon Street from Second to Jefferson streets, Cliff Street from Jefferson to Cunningham streets, Cedar Street from Cunningham to Diamond streets and Monroe Street from Center Avenue to the bridge over the railroad tracks.
The contractor, A. Liberoni Inc. of Plum, will post parking restrictions on the streets before work beings. Work has already begun on the Center Avenue parking lot, which is included in the paving project.
