May 5 — Brandi M. Scott, 32, of Renfrew, was charged with a first-offense DUI stemming from an April 13 traffic stop on Whitestown Road in Butler Township.Police said they stopped the vehicle for swerving over lines. Police said Scott admitted to being intoxicated, which field sobriety tests also indicated.Police said a blood test showed Scott's blood alcohol level at 0.300%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.
May 4 — Grant D. Chidester, 27, of Pittsburgh, was charged with simple assault and harassment stemming from a May 3 call to the Body Bar in Cranberry Township.Police said the accuser told them her ex-boyfriend, Chidester, punched her in the face and bit her. Police said they saw injuries consistent with the accuser's claims.
May 5 — Gary R. Lisko, 33, of Sarver, was charged with felony making a false statement during the buying of a pistol June 16 from Sportsman's Supply.Police said Lisko marked “no” on a question asking if he had been convicted of drug-related charges. Police said he was convicted in 2015 and 2017 for drug-related charges.May 5 — Kody L. Kolich, 26, of Petrolia, was charged with a first-offense DUI after a one-vehicle crash April 24 on Kittanning Pike in Parker Township.Police said they arrived at the scene and found a vehicle with heavy front-end damage in a ditch. Police said they put Kolich through field sobriety tests, which indicated he was impaired.Police said a test of Kolich's breath later noted his blood-alcohol content was 0.206%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.May 5 — Kevin C. Randall Jr., 18, of Butler, was charged with simple assault and criminal mischief stemming from a May 3 domestic incident.Police said they talked with the accuser, who said Randall smashed a storage shelf; grabbed a hammer; and smashed the TV in the living room. Police said the accuser was granted an emergency protection from abuse order.May 4 — Matthew C. McClaine, 46, of Butler, was charged with a first-offense DUI stemming from a May 1 traffic stop on North Main Street Extension in Center Township.Police said they stopped the vehicle because they saw it make a turn into the opposing lane of traffic. Police said field sobriety tests indicated McClaine was impaired, and a later breath test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.126%.In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.4:56 p.m. May 1 — Police responded to a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 North near mile marker 82.According to police, Amie E. Donahue, 37, of Pittsburgh, received written warnings for causing the crash by falling asleep at the wheel. Police said the vehicle drove off the road and flipped.Donahue and a 9-year-old boy suffered minor injuries in the crash. Another 9-year-old boy was uninjured. All three were taken to UPMC Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.2:30 a.m. May 1 — State police are looking for information about a report of criminal mischief between 2:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. along New Castle Road in Franklin Township.Police said an unknown person damaged a vehicle in a parking lot by slashing three tires and smashing a rear-window.Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police at 724-284-8100.12:28 a.m. April 28 — Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on North Main Street in Slippery Rock.Police said Ryan W. Mortimer, 26, of Sandy Lake, drove off the left side of the road and into a ditch. Mortimer was uninjured; however, his passenger, Allison M. Weber, 24, of Mercer, was taken to Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries.Mortimer was cited for the crash.
