Falcons' Eaton joins 30-30 club in win

Allan Eaton, meet the ultrarare 30-30 club.

Eaton, a 6-foot-6 junior for the A-C Valley boys basketball team, recorded 34 points and 30 rebounds in an 82-77 overtime win against Union Thursday night.

Eaton scored 11 of those points in the third quarter as A-C Valley (21-1, 17-0) seemed to pull away from Union.

But the Golden Knights (14-7, 13-4) stormed back in the fourth and forced overtime after Scott Booth, who netted 31 points for Union, hit a 3-pointer with six seconds remaining.

The Falcons pulled away for good in overtime to run their winning streak to 15 games.

Blayne McGuirk added 21 points for A-C Valley.

Union's Taylor Smith had 14 points and eight rebounds. Zac Smith pitched in 10 points and eight assists for the Golden Knights.
