Butler wrestlers pull out tight win
The Butler wrestling team needed a big win from Hank Finan.
Finan delivered.
The 160-pounder earned a pin in the final match of the night as the Golden Tornado edged McGuffey 30-24.
Butler coach Scott Stoner said his entire lineup keyed the win, however.
“Even though Finan was the last match and the match was in the balance, there was a lot of things that went our way, a lot of kids that came through,” Stoner said.
Butler (3-1) got several close decisions and a late pin by heavyweight Saavon Mosby to topple McGuffy (7-2).
