YMCA to host annual Good Friday Breakfast
The Butler YMCA will have its 68th annual Good Friday Breakfast beginning at 7 a.m. Friday in the gymnasium at 339 North Washington St.
This year’s guest speaker will be Kathy Emmons. Emmons, a native Pittsburgher, is the co-host of The Ride Home with John and Kathy, the afternoon drive talk program broadcast by 101.5 WORD FM in metropolitan Pittsburgh and streamed worldwide by Salem Media Group.
The Ride Home combines conversation, news, entertainment and learning, all in the framework of the Christian world view.
Emmons has also served as worship leader and music director at Bellefield Presbyterian Church on the University of Pittsburgh campus since 1998.
She holds a degree in communications & writing from the University of Pittsburgh and in interior design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
Emmons lives in Pittsburgh with her husband and two daughters.
The breakfast will be catered by “Simply Catered,” and music will be provided by local group 4 For Christ.
Tickets are available at the Butler YMCA and are $5 for adults and $2 for youths 15 and under. They can be purchased by calling 724-287-4733 in advance. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door on the day of the event.
