10:05 p.m. Thursday — Lamont A. Franklin, 32, of Butler was charged with DUI, DUI high rate of alcohol, driving under suspension DUI-related, wrong way on a one-way street and restrictions on alcoholic beverages following a traffic stop on East Jefferson Street.6:39 p.m. Tuesday — Ashlyn Vlassich, 26, of Butler was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a possible overdose at an East Penn Street residence.4:02 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Arthur Richards Jr., 85, of Slippery Rock and a pickup truck driven by Walter G. Dunkle, 55, of Butler collided at the intersection of Center Avenue and Stone Street. Both drivers complained of general pain and declined medical treatment.
6:55 p.m. Sept. 2 — Shirley Ferguson, 59, and Melissa Wilfong, 33, both of Butler, each were charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct following a domestic dispute at their residence.7:52 p.m. Aug. 31 — Kimberly Kunzleman, 52, of Butler was charged with DUI following a traffic stop along Route 8 near the Greater Butler Mart.3:28 p.m. Aug. 31 — Michael A. Brown, 40, of Gibsonia was charged with DUI, unauthorized use of an automobile and driving under suspension after he allegedly crashed his vehicle on Route 8. Brown's vehicle overturned after hitting a parked vehicle, and Brown was taken by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.12:57 p.m. Aug. 31 — Tanya Johnston, 23, and Kathryn Nagle, 42, both of Butler, each were charged with criminal conspiracy and retail theft after they allegedly tried to steal about $465 in merchandise from Wal-Mart. Johnston also was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.3:04 p.m. Aug. 30 — Whitney Dunlap, 22, of Butler was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after she allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart while she was an employee at the New Castle Road location.
11 a.m. Wednesday — Someone entered the residence at 188 Wilson Way in Summit Township and stole a Smith and Wesson .357-caliber Magnum revolver valued at about $1,000 and belonging to Leroy J. Wilbert of Butler between 11 a.m. Sept. 1 and 11 a.m. Wednesday. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.7:23 a.m. Tuesday — An SUV driven by Sarah J. Preston, 26, of Butler and an SUV driven by Vicki E. Fierschnaller, 47, of Butler crashed on East Portersville Road at the I-79 on-ramp in Portersville. Preston was cited for following too closely.6:50 p.m. Monday — An SUV driven by James E. Soose, 52, of Slippery Rock struck a deer at the intersection of Route 8 and Weeks Road in Brady Township.9:55 a.m. Sept. 1 — A car driven by Nathan A. Pierce, 20, of Slippery Rock and an SUV driven by Lorraine M. Kuzma, 41, of West Mifflin collided at the intersection of Miller Road and Route 488 in Muddy Creek Township. Pierce was cited for failure to obey stop or yield signs.11 p.m. Aug. 30 — A car driven by Dustin M. Bunta, 22, of Renfrew crashed into a mailbox and a ditch along Benbrook Road in Center Township. Bunta was cited for driving too fast for conditions.1:20 p.m. Aug. 30 — An SUV driven by Amanda J. Thomas, 34, of Butler and a van driven by James D. Asche, 41, of Butler collided on the Route 422 exit ramp in Summit Township. Thomas was cited for careless driving.7 a.m. Aug. 30 — A car driven by Renae D. Wilson, 27, of Butler crashed into a tree along Swain Hill Road in Lancaster Township. Wilson suffered a minor injury.2:35 a.m. Aug. 30 — Emily A. Greer, 20, of Butler was arrested under suspicion of DUI following a traffic stop on Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township.Aug. 30 — Someone entered a residence along Stone Church Road in Muddy Creek Township and stole jewelry and cash belonging to Rodger A. Weitzel of Prospect. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.9 p.m. Aug. 29 — Someone broke a window out of a metal door at the Butler Farm Market on Evans City Road in Renfew, causing about $250 in damage.11:30 a.m. Aug. 26 — Someone stole a red 1999 Honda 400EX Sport ATV belonging to Justin Fleeger of West Sunbury from a property along Main Street in West Sunbury. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.5 p.m. Aug. 23 — Someone stole items from a vehicle belonging to Heather Bucholz of Parker while the vehicle was parked on Washington Street in Parker between 8:30 p.m. Aug. 22 and 5 p.m. Aug. 23.5 p.m. Aug. 19 — Someone stole items from a storage locker on Chicora Road in Oakland Township rented by Darin Radwanski of Lyndora between 4 p.m. July 6 and 5 p.m. Aug. 19.
