Maria Lutz, daughter of Larry and Judy Lutz of Sarver, was named to Denison University's spring dean's list.A 2004 graduate of Freeport High School, she is currently a junior at the university.———

Lauren Barber of Butler has been appointed to a graduate assistantship for Clarion University's biology department during the 2006-2007 academic school year.Barber is a 2002 graduate of Butler High School and a recent graduate of Westminster College.As an undergraduate, she was a member of Tri Beta Biology Honor Society, Westminster College Orchestra and was a recipient of the Van Gorder Smith Scholarship.
