Angela Cametti of Butler was recently named a recipient of the 2006 Vesuvius Americas Scholarship Award.Astudent at John Carroll University, she is a graduate of Butler High School.At the university, Cametti has been named to the dean's list and received the President's Honor Award and the American Values Scholarship.She is the daughter of John and Mary Cametti of Butler. John is employed with Vesuvius in Warrendale.———

<B>Julie Hranica,</B> daughter of Ed and Donna Hranica of Buffalo Township, has been accepted to the Honors Program at Mercyhurst College.An elementary/special education major at the college, she is also the recipient of the college's Valedictorian Scholarship, a Governor's School for Women scholarship, an Americorps scholarship and an academic scholarship.She was also awarded the Freeport Kiwanis Association's scholarship and the Freeport Area Soccer Scholarship.A 2006 graduate of Freeport High School, she was a member of the National Society of High School Scholars and the National Honor Society. She was also named to Who's Who Among American High School Students and the Who's Who Honor Roll.———

<B>Justin Dandoy</B> of Butler was recently named homecoming king at Clarion University for 2006.A 2003 graduate of Butler High School, he is the son of Bob and Julie Dandoy of Butler.Dandoy serves as president of the university's student senate and has been named one of 10 Outstanding Greek Leaders in the Northeastern States by the Northeast Greek Leadership Association. He also received the award for Outstanding Greek Leader at Clarion University and was named Best Actor in a Musical for his performance in the Clarion University Theater production of "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change."———

Cadet <B>Matthew Kalin</B>, son of Robert and Geri Kalin of Gibsonia and Thane and Beth Johnson of Butler, has been named a Distinguished Cadet at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.He is a 2005 graduate of Butler High School.
