Justin Dandoy of Butler was recently named homecoming king at Clarion University for 2006.A 2003 graduate of Butler High School, he is the son of Bob and Julie Dandoy of Butler.Dandoy serves as president of the university's student senate and has been named one of 10 Outstanding Greek Leaders in the Northeastern States by the Northeast Greek Leadership Association. He also received the award for Outstanding Greek Leader at Clarion University and was named Best Actor in a Musical for his performance in the Clarion University Theater production of "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change."———

Frank Petraglia III, a freshman bioengineering major at the University of Pittsburgh, won this year's Alumni Recognition Legacy Scholarship.The $9,000 award is renewable for four years.Petraglia is a graduate of Seneca Valley High School.———The Advanced Placement Program has announced that 18 Butler High School students qualified for AP Scholar Awards, based on their achievement on AP Program exams.Students earning the APScholar with Distinction Award included
Stefanie Cumberledge, Matthew Feder, Elizabeth Keasey, Matthew Keffalas, Adam Kowalski, Warren Pryde and
Sarah Schubert. Students with this designation must have obtained an average score of 3.5 after completing five or more exams.The APScholar with Honor Award, for students receiving an average of 3.25 on four or more exams, was presented to
Shayla Benninger,
Kanishka Desai, Nicole Gall, Ashley Sklar and
Christopher Wetzel.Students qualifying for the AP Scholar Award included
