Stephanie Auth of Butler, daughter of Russell Auth and Sharon Auth, was recently nominated Jacket Princess at Baldwin-Wallace College.The Jacket Prince and Princess represent the freshman class on the college's homecoming court.A middle childhood education major, she is a member of the Voices of Praise gospel choir and the Hepcat Society of Swing. She was also recently nominated for the Emerging Leaders organization on campus.Auth is a 2006 graduate of Butler High School.———

Amber Hobaugh of Butler, daughter of Dale and Bev Hobaugh, has been awarded the PSHP Student Award for pharmacy students actively involved in initiatives related to advancing the practice of health-systems pharmacy.She is a student at Duquesne University.Hobaugh was chosen based on her work organizing the Operation Residency project, which reached out to underclassmen to increase their knowledge about how to prepare for and obtain a residency as well as detail the experience that can be gained from completing a residency.She also organized an Ask the Pharmacist event at St. Barnabas in the fall and the 2005 and 2006 Clinical Skills Competition on Duquesne's campus.She also coordinated with various alumni to visit the campus and provide presentations to pharmacy students about opportunities in health system pharmacy practice.In addition to her work on campus, she became certified in smoking cessation counseling and has given presentations on drug abuse to local high school students.She is a member of professional pharmacy sorority Kappa Epsilon and serves as treasurer for the Academy of Student Pharmacists.———
Matthew Diehl, a recent graduate of Shady Side Academy, has been named an AP Scholar by The College Board Advanced Placement Program.To qualify for the award, students must complete three or more AP exams with scores of 3 or higher.Diehl is now attending the University of Miami.
