Amber Hobaugh of Butler, daughter of Dale and Bev Hobaugh, has been awarded the Pennsylvania Society of Health-System Pharmacists Student Award for pharmacy students actively involved in initiatives related to advancing the practice of health-systems pharmacy.She is a student at Duquesne University, where she serves as president of the school's Pennsylvania Society of Health-System Pharmacists chapter.Hobaugh was chosen based on her work organizing the Operation Residency project, which reached out to underclassmen to increase their knowledge about how to prepare for and obtain a residency as well as detail the experience that can be gained from completing a residency.She also organized an Ask the Pharmacist event at St. Barnabas in the fall and the 2005 and 2006 Clinical Skills Competition on Duquesne's campus.Hobaugh coordinated with various alumni to visit the campus and provide presentations to pharmacy students about opportunities in health system pharmacy practice.In addition to her work on campus, she became certified in smoking cessation counseling and has given presentations on drug abuse to local high school students.She is a member of professional pharmacy sorority Kappa Epsilon and serves as treasurer for the Academy of Student Pharmacists.———
<B>Stephanie Marie Rosenwald, </B>daughter of John and Shirley Rosenwald of Cranberry Township,<B> </B>was inducted into the Rho Phi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa recently at Butler County Community College.She is majoring in education/teaching.
