Stephanie Isacco as a recipient of the Mind, Heart and Spirit Award, which acknowledges and promotes outstanding student athletes from local high schools.A senior from Karns City High School, Isacco serves as the president of the National Honor Society, teaches a fourth-grade Sunday school class and is a volunteer at Katie's Kitchen.She is captain of her school's volleyball team, a member of the track team and has qualified for the District Nine Championships for the past two years in four different events.A native of Karns City, she is a daughter of Andrew and Marcella Isacco.———
Kristan Kohley, a Westminster College senior public relations major, recently earned the Gold Key award by the Public Relations Student Society of America.The daughter of Philip and Melanie Kohley of Saxonburg, she is a graduate of Knoch High School.Earlier this year, Kohley received the Renaissance Student Scholarship Award from the Pittsburgh chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.At Westminster she has served as director for the PRSA, president of Lambda Pi Eta National Honor Communication Society, a teaching assistant in the English and Public Relations Department, student director for the Westminster College Learning Center, member of the Omicron Delta Kappa honor leadership society and copy editor for the student newspaper.She appears in the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, is a Vance Distinguished Scholar and appears on the dean's list.———
Alaina Somers, daughter of Thomas and Nancy Somers of Cranberry Township, has been named to the dean's list at Rochester Institute of Technology. She has maintained a 4.0 average.
