Butler Police2:30 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Patty Grossman, 57, of Butler struck a utility trailer that a pickup truck was hauling at Hansen Avenue and Fairground Hill Road. Timothy M. Krummert, 34, of Mercer was driving the pickup.
Butler County DUI Task ForceFriday — Two people were arrested for driving under the influence and 56 vehicles were stopped during a roving patrol detail in the county.In addition to the DUI arrests, police arrested four people on drug charges. Officers issued 14 traffic tickets and 21 warnings. Four people were cited for public drunkenness and seven for disorderly conduct.
State Police, Butler2:59 p.m. Sunday — Jaime L. Burk, 36, of Emlenton, Venango County, was hurt when the car she was driving struck a guardrail on Route 38 in Allegheny Township. Burk, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.1:55 a.m. Sunday — Jamie Bowser, 36, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Gifford Lane in Fairview Township.3:12 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Zachary M. Baughman, 19, of Cranberry Township struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. Police said he was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.9:05 p.m. Friday — Seth Cromer, 28, of Petrolia was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his Pontiac Grand Prix was clocked going 103 mph on I-79 in Cranberry Township.Tuesday — A burglar made off with temporary lighting units affixed with 500 feet of 14-gauge cooper wire after breaking into a barn at Bronder Tech Services on Old Route 422 in Franklin Township. The burglary happened between Sept. 3 and Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Tuesday — An undisclosed amount of money and prescription medication were reported stolen in a burglary at a home on Weeping Willow Lane in Concord Township. The break-in happened between Sept. 1 and Tuesday.Tuesday — A Chicora woman told police that someone stole an undisclosed amount of currency from her car in the 100 block of Main Street in Connoquenessing. The woman reported that an unauthorized transaction was made with her bank debit card.
State Police, Kittanning9:20 p.m. Friday — Alyssa N. Milliron, 18, of Rimersburg was hurt when she lost control of her car after dropping her cell phone and struck a ditch on Red Mill Road in Kittanning Township. Milliron, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to ACMH Hospital in Kittanning with unknown injuries. Police said she was cited for a lane violation.
State Police, MercerThursday — Two Porter-Cable nail guns were stolen from the bed of a pickup truck at the Trader Horn parking lot in Pine Township. The theft happened between 12:30 and 1 p.m.Tuesday — Antique tools, copper tubing and costume jewelry were among the items stolen in a burglary sometime within the last month at a home on Elliott Road in Wolf Creek Township.
State Police, New Castle3:29 p.m. Sunday — A child’s bicycle was found in the 3000 block of Cooper Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The bike is a green Hot Wheels brand with attached training wheels. The owner can claim the bike by calling police at 724-598-2211.12:04 p.m. Friday — Two people were hurt when sport utility vehicles driven by Jennifer S. Wheeler, 33, of Stoneboro and Audrey J. Hartmann, 61, of Guys Mills, Crawford County, collided at Routes 965 and 173 in Worth Township, Mercer County. Both drivers, who were wearing seat belts, suffered minor injuries.Wheeler, who was treated at Grove City Medical Center, was cited for a stop sign violation.2:47 a.m. Aug. 13 — Arthur J. Michaels, 35, of Portersville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 422 and Rosepoint Road in Slippery Rock Township.
