CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Public Library, 2525 Rochester Road, hosts “The Steel Bar: Pittsburgh Lawyers and the Making of America” presented by Ron Schuler at 6 p.m. Dec. 3.
Schuler is the managing partner of the Pittsburgh office of a regional law firm, and has been practicing law for over 30 years.
He was a lead member of the City of Pittsburgh's legal team for the planning and construction of PNC Park and was the author of the Forbes Field II Task Force Final Report (1996), the urban planning justification for PNC Park's location.
Schuler's book examines Pittsburgh's part in the development of American democratic and commercial institutions and how its lawyers helped to shape American history in significant ways.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
