Megan Bush, daughter of Daniel Bush and Connie Bush, both of Butler received several awards and scholarships during the school's recent Senior Recognition Night.Bush is the recipient of the Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation Award, the Eric S. Knotick Memorial Award, the Dr. Edwin Hasson Scholarship, the Glenn R. Logan Scholarship and the United Commercial Travelers of America Scholarship.Bush has been accepted to Clarion University for the fall 2007 term.———The Westminster College chapter of the Kappa Delta Pi education honor society recently inducted 28 new students.Among the inductees were

Tara Karns of Sarver is one of 12 students who recently traveled to Calcutta, India, with College President Jim Towey for a week of service in the missions of Mother Teresa.A psychology major, Karns is a member of the cross country team, the secretary of Psi Chi Honor Society and a member of the Psychology Club.The 2005 Freeport High School graduate and daughter of Brett and Robin Karns is a dean's list student, works as a student assistant in the athletic office, volunteers at Green Meadows Assisted Living Home and is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta.———
Nathan Angerett of Prospect has been named a United States National Collegiate Award winner in natural sciences.Angerett attends Indiana (Pa.) University and is a 2005 Slippery Rock High School graduate.He is the son of Greg and Tracy Angerett.His name will appear in the United States Achievement Academy's Official Collegiate Yearbook, published nationally.———
Adam Battin of Wexford has been accepted to the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, where he will study film.The son of Jeffrey Battin and Karla Horanic, he is arecent graduate of Mars High School.———
Grant Clark of Butler has been selected to participate in Carnegie Mellon University's C-MITES Summer Program for academically talented students.He will take a computer programming class at Aquinas Academy in Greensburg from June 18 to 29.A fifth grade student at Meridian Elementary School, he is the son of Wayne and Cindy Clark.———
John Evankovich III of Karns City received the Biotechnology Award from Gannon University's School of Sciences at the recent Founder's Day Awards Convocation.The son of John Evankovich Jr. and Susan Strobel, he is a Karns City High School graduate.———
Sarah Greer of East Brady was inducted into the Lambda chapter of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity at Clarion University recently.She was also elected to serve as the chapter's public relations committee chair.Greer is the daughter of Kenneth and Sherri Greer of East Brady.
