Jessica Watson, daughter of Troy and Cynthia Watson of Harmony, has been named a member of the Students in Free Enterprise program at Ashland University.She is a marketing major.SIFE students form teams that serve their communities by developing projects that take what they are learning in their classrooms and use it to solve real-world problems. The program concentrates on entrepreneurship, market economics, success skills, financial literacy and business ethics.———Penn State captured first place in the overall university ranking at the 2008 ASKS/ADSA Northeastern Student Affiliate meetings in February at Delaware Valley College.They received the honors on the basis of exceptionally strong teams in each of the competitive areas, quiz bowl, livestock judging and paper presentations.Among the competitors was

Levi Sanchez.A senior English major, Benninger is the daughter of James and Bonnie Benninger of Valencia and a graduate of Mars Area High School.Her study was titled "Imagination as Coping Mechanism in Anne of Green Gables and The Secret Garden."Sanchez, a junior English major, is a son of Annette Sanchez of Grove City and a graduate of Grove City High School.He will present the study "Adventures of Sal Paradise: A comparative Character Analysis of Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and On the Road."All grant recipients are invited to participate in the Undergraduate Research Symposium held in April at Westminster.———

Robert Short, son of Chris and Linda Short of Harmony, has been accepted to Gannon University for the fall 2008 semester. He plans to enter the 3+4 veterinary program.A senior at Seneca Valley High School, he is active in inline hockey and bowling.
