STUDENT DIRECTORY
The Moniteau eighth grade Pentathlon Team competed March 23 in the Pentathlon Championship Competition at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie.
Sixteen teams participated in this year's championship event, which focused on science, history, math, essay and a super quiz theme on the American Revolution.
Moniteau won its second consecutive title. The team is coached by Jeremy Borkowski.
Kristen McDeavitt placed third overall in the honors division, winning 5 medals.
Zachary Marino and
Sarah Neff won medals in the honors division.
Jacob Taciuch finished first overall in the scholastic division, winning six medals, five of which were gold.
Aaron Gibson earned five medals and finished third in scholastic overall.
Jessaymn Fry won a silver medal in science. In the varsity division,
Kayla Campbell earned the top score, winning three medals.
Alexis Goughler and
Michaela Mrozek both won one medal. The team won the super quiz relay event, helped by the perfect scores of
Zachary Marino and
Alexis Goughler.Team members will be awarded the traveling State Championship Plaque during the Academic Sports League Celebration Luncheon May 19 at Edinboro University.———
