Moniteau’s Academic Decathlon Team competed Jan. 8 in the third and final Academic Sports League (ASL) competition.The team claimed victory at the first two events of the year and continued their streak with a third victory. The team was named Champions of the ASL for the 2010-11 school year.Top performers included
Clarissa Kimmey who finished second overall out of the 350 participants.
Jake Taciuch finished with a bronze medal,
Amanda Mock claimed silver and
Tim Shearer took gold for a Moniteau sweep of the scholastic division.In the varsity division,
Joe Holfelder took third overall.The team is preparing for the Pennsylvania Academic Decathlon regional competition Feb. 4 and 5 at Thiel College in Greenville.The regional team will consist of seniors
