Butler PoliceWednesday — Police obtained a felony arrest warrant for Brian S. Albaugh, 38, no known address, who they accused of selling more than $4,000 worth of stolen jewelry for $200 at a city jewelry store last month.The alleged victim reported to police Dec. 27 that her home in the 300 block of East Brady Street had been broken into and a jewelry box taken from her bedroom, according to court documents. The box, she said, contained jewelry pieces valued at $4,685.Police checked their precious metals website and found that Albaugh had sold most of the owner’s stolen property at Robert Stephens Custom Jewelers on North Main Street, documents said.The items that were sold were valued at $4,505. The defendant received $200.Albaugh is charged with a felony count of receiving stolen property.

Butler Twp Police6:43 p.m. Wednesday — Vehicles driven by Sandra M. Rea, 66, of Chicora and Brian Graff, 48, of Butler collided at Route 68 and Delwood Road. No one was injured but both vehicles had to be towed.Police cited Rea for a stop sign violation.

Penn Twp PoliceTuesday — Police charged Audra L. Divittorio, 30, of Turtle Creek, Allegheny County, with having illegal drugs and other contraband stemming from a two-vehicle crash last month at Route 8 and Dinnerbell Road.The investigation determined that Divittorio’s car rear-ended the other vehicle, court documents said. Police said they later searched the suspect and found a stamp bag of suspected heroin and a Xanax pill, for which she apparently did not have a prescription.Additionally, police turned up a Chore Boy copper scrubber, which is commonly used to filter crack pipes.Divittorio is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and driving at an unsafe speed.

Slippery Rock Police2:47 a.m. Sunday — Damon N. Hayden Jr., 21, of Trafford, Westmoreland County, was arrested for driving under the influence on North Main Street near New Castle Street. Police said they smelled a “strong odor” of alcohol on his breath.Hayden, who also appeared to be impaired, admitted that he had been drinking that night, according to court documents. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested.According to court documents, a breath test showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.082 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law. He is charged with DUI and not using turn signals.1 a.m. Sunday — George W. Gordon II, 37, of Portersville was arrested for drunken driving on New Castle Street near Conway Drive. Police said Gordon reeked of alcohol and appeared to be intoxicated.Gordon was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. A breath test subsequently showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.294 percent, or more than 3½ times the state’s legal limit.In addition to DUI, he is charged with disregarding traffic lane and driving at an unsafe speed.

State Police, Butler7:30 p.m. Tuesday — A 22-year-old Freeport man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a one-vehicle crash on Route 28 north in Buffalo Township. Police said charges of drugged driving are pending lab results.Tuesday — Beth E. Beeler, 55, of Saxonburg was charged with drugged driving stemming from a September car crash in Donegal Township. Police said Beeler lost control of her car about 10:35 a.m. Sept. 21 on Chicora Fenelton Road.The vehicle ended up in a field near the road’s intersection with East Danville Road. A medical crew treated Beeler for apparent minor injuries. Police said she also appeared to be “disoriented” and “very sleepy,” according to court documents.She was subsequently taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology tests indicated that in her system were several different drugs, including clonazepam, diazepam, tramadol, carisoprodol and meprobamate, documents said.Beeler is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, careless driving, failing to keep right and disregarding traffic lanes.Tuesday — Darrin K. Ealy, 55, of Connoquenessing Township was charged with driving under the influence in connection with his arrest about 11 p.m. Dec. 3 at a police checkpoint on Route 8 near Errera’s Towing.Police said Ealy appeared impaired and he smelled of alcohol. He admitted to having “a couple of drinks” earlier in the evening, according to court documents. He was arrested after failing field sobriety tests.A breath test showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.103 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.1:30 a.m. Saturday — Paul R. Caldwell, 55, of Slippery Rock was arrested for driving under the influence on South Main Street in Slippery Rock. Police said Caldwell smelled of alcohol and appeared to be impaired when they got to his vehicle.He was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. A breath test showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.145 percent, according to court documents. Caldwell is charged with DUI, disregarding traffic lane and careless driving.

State Police, Kittanning6:52 a.m. Thursday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Thomas Mitchenson, 65, of Ford City and a car driven by Terry W. Yockey, 51, of Worthington collided at North Park Road and Glade Drive in East Franklin Township. No one was injured but the SUV had to be towed.Police said Mitchenson was cited for a stop sign violation.
