The following local students were awarded scholarships at Denison University:

Madeline Dix of Gibsonia,

Michael Hess of Gibsonia,

William Koontz of Cranberry Township and

Benjamin Murray of Cranberry Township all received the Denison Alumni Scholarship, which approximates one-quarter to one-third of tuition and is based on academic achievement, leadership and personal merit.

Meghan Diefenbacher of Mars received a Denison Founders Scholarship. The Denison Founders Scholarship approximates one-half tuition and is based on academic achievement, leadership and personal merit.

Emily Smith of Pine Township, received a Paschal Carter Scholarship. The Pascal Carter Scholarship approximates full tuition and is competition based and open only to National Merit Semi-Finalists.
