MIDLAND — Two Butler County students are among those from the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School who were named to the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association honors chorus.
Senior
Eli Dawson, a bass, is the son of Angie and Bill Dawson of Harmony. Sophomore
Madison Owings, an alto, is the daughter of Michele and Bill Owings of Cranberry.They performed Nov. 3 to 5 at the honors chorus festival at Westminster College, New Wilmington.———
<B>Grace Klutinoty </B>of Center Township received two creative writing awards presented by the Grove City College Department of Education, education honorary Kappa Delta Pi and the Hamilton Curriculum Library.The first award was for excellent creative writing among sixth graders entering the annual Awesome Authors Contest.The second award was for Overall Winner among all sixth grade contestants.Grace also received awards in fourth and fifth grade.She is the daughter of Laurie and Jim Klutinoty of Center Township and a sixth grade student at Center Township Elementary.———
<B>Marc Lonett</B> of Cranberry Township will join nine other students from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va., to volunteer at Cafe 458 in Atlanta, Ga., over the school's Thanksgiving break, Nov. 19 to 26.The team will serve meals to homeless people as part of the school's Alternative Thanksgiving Break program. Cafe 458 is the city's only restaurant for homeless persons.
