Bortmas 65th anniversary
Lee and Ruth Bortmas of Butler celebrated 65 years of marriage with a family dinner at W. Rick's.
Bortmas married the former Ruth Young on Sept. 1, 1949, at Mountville United Presbyterian Church in Portersville.
They have three children, Ron (Elda) Bortmas of Phoenix, Debbie (Joe) Minton of Saxonburg and Polly (Bob) Palermo of Butler.
They also have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The Bortmases owned Bortmas the Butler Florist for more than 30 years. They are semi-retired.
Bortmas is a member of Butler Lodge 272 F&AM and is a Bantam Jeep historical speaker.
Mrs. Bortmas is a member of Butler Chapter 45 Order of the Eastern Star.
The couple belonged to the Butler Kiwanis Club and Butler Old Stone House Region-AACA.
The Bortmases are members of the North Main Street Church of God and the Keenagers class.
