Butler's Bresnahan sweeps Double
WASHINGTON, Pa. — Trainer Nathan Bresnahan of Butler swept the Early Daily Double Thursday with horses that struggled in 2020, during harness racing action at The Meadows.
Sleepin In The Sun, which won only once in 23 starts last year, won the $4,900 Conditioning Claiming Pace. Slippery Rock resident Brady Brown then drove Heston Ross, a winner only once in 2020, to victory for Bresnahan in the second race.
Brown brought home a 29-1 long-shot during Friday’s race card, guiding DP Rocket to victory in a $7,300 Conditioned Trot.
