Butler’s middle school hockey team won its first-round playoff game recently, defeating Bishop Canevin, 4-2.
Trevor Gilliland, ClayPotchny and Ronan Miller all scored before Garet Banner sealed the win with an empty-net tally. Brandon Holt had two assists, Cameron Barto, Gilliland and Adam Holt one each.
Goaltender Brody Lineman made 23 saves.
