The Pittsburgh Huskies U18AA hockey team improved to 20-3-3 overall and clinched the PAHL regular season championship with a 6-4 win Saturday and 3-3 tie Sunday against the Altoona Trackers.

Dustin Davis scored two goals while Christian Miller, Nick Whann, Mitch Rupprecht and Eric Leya added one each in the 6-4 win. The Huskies trailed 4-2 at one point. Miller, Whan and Davis all had two assists.

Goaltender Eric Phelps made 21 saves in te win.

Davis and Whann scored again Sunday. Brett Berner’s shorthanded goal late in the third period netted the tie. Goalie Clay Bachman made 32 saves in the deadlock.

WrestlingSantino Sloboda, a 7-year old resident of Butler, took first place in the 8-under, 50-pound division at the Charleroi Battle for the Belt novice wrestling tournament on Saturday. On Sunday, he grabbed another title in the 7-under division at the Cherry Hill Classic in McDonald.Nolan Shaner (age 10), and Heath Shaner (8), both of Butler, went 1-2 and 3-1, respectively, at the Laurel Spartan Shootout on Sunday in New Castle.
