Long Lines

A long line of cars wrapped around Butler Health Systems Delwood Road testing center Monday afternoon as the Pennsylvania CDC announced new stay at home orders.

The outdoor testing facility for Butler Memorial Hospital, located at 304 Delwood Road, takes care of two lines of those seeking tests on Monday. According to hospital officials, the setup was changed to help reduce wait times and to help keep traffic from spilling into the roadway. The facility will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, but the site, formerly located in the hospital’s East Brady Street parking lot, has been steadily in use throughout the pandemic. As of Monday, 10,712 patients received tests at the facility, resulting in 449 positive results. The outdoor tests account for just short of half of the 25,850 total tests conducted by the hospital.
