Ashley and Steven Hughes

Ashley Schoeffel and Steven Hughes, both of Beaver, were united in marriage at 4 p.m. May 19 at Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Evans City. The Rev. John Park officiated. A reception followed at the North Sewickley Fire Hall.

The bride is the daughter of Mike and Cathy Schoeffel of Evans City. Parents of the bridegroom are Dave and Marian Hughes of Beaver Falls.

The maid of honor was Sharon Petrick of Morgantown, W.Va. Jessica Schoeffel of Evans City served as a bridesmaid. The flower girls were Madilyn Glitsch and Caitlyn Glitsch, both of Koppel.

Serving the bridegroom as best man was Matt Woods of Koppel. Justin Schoeffel of Evans City served as an usher.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Seneca Valley High School. She is currently a student at Slippery Rock University and is employed at Applebee's in Cranberry Township.

The bridegroom graduated in 1998 from Riverside High School. He works for Eaton Electrical in Beaver.

Following a honeymoon trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is making their home in Beaver.
