Jared and Rachel Brunswick

Rachel Thomas of Chicago, formerly of Butler, and former New Castle resident Jared Brunswick of Chicago were united in marriage Sept. 22 at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church in Butler. The Rev. C.F. Hoffman officiated. A reception followed at the Atrium in Prospect.

The bride is the daughter of Becky Thomas of Butler and the late David Thomas. Parents of the bridegroom are Mark and Sheila Brunswick of New Castle.

The maid of honor was Sarah Zipf of Springfield, Mo. Bridesmaids included Emily Thomas of Cleveland, Ohio; Stacey Szura of Butler; Jere Le Householder of Key West, Fla.; and Kristen Cheddar of Destin Beach, Fla.

Performing the duties of best man was Greg Brunswick of Bradenton, Fla. Ushers included Will Herbert of Alexandria, Va.; Rick Minteer of New Castle; Eric Dellich of Emeryville, Calif.; Donny Gordon of Harrisburg; Bob Zipf of Springfield, Mo.; and Nick Shaffer of New Castle. John Zipf of Springfield, Mo. was ring bearer.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Butler High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Slippery Rock University in 2005 and works for the American College of Prosthodontists in Chicago.

The bridegroom graduated in 2002 from Neshannock High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Slippery Rock University in 2006 and works for the United States Steel Corporation in Gary, Ind.

Following a honeymoon trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple is making their home in Chicago.
