2:45 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by James D. Demola Jr., 53, of Cheektowaga, N.Y., struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Worth Township.2:23 p.m. Saturday — A distracted driver was blamed for a crash that sent one car into a utility pole, and sent the pole falling on another car in Clinton Township.Ronald L. Painter, 59, of Wexford told police he was changing stations on his car radio and did not immediately see the other vehicle that was stopped at Ekastown and Coal Hollow roads. Painter applied his brakes and swerved his car to avoid the other car, driven by Patrick M. Cooper, 42, of Butler, but ended up hitting the utility pole.The crash severed the pole, which fell onto the front of Cooper's car. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and no one was injured. Saxonburg and Sarver volunteer firefighters assisted police at the scene. Police said Painter was cited for careless driving.10:46 p.m. Friday — One person was hurt when cars driven by Adam E. Schnur, 23, of Butler and Nathan L. Leonard, 27, of Fenelton collided at Grant Avenue and Ninth Street in East Butler. Candace N. Scheller, 26, of Prospect, a passenger in Leonard's car, suffered minor injuries; she was wearing a seat belt.Police said Schnur was cited for failing to yield to another vehicle.5:44 p.m. Thursday — Wendy E. Bellis, 38, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a minor accident in the 500 block of West Slippery Rock Street in Fairview Township.4:09 p.m. Dec. 1 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Adam J. Schanck, 20, of Pittsburgh struck a mailbox along Route 8 just north of Branchton Road in Slippery Rock Township. Schnack fled the scene after the crash. Police said they later found the suspect, who faces charges of hit-and-run and a lane violation.

Saturday — Police reported they are investigating two cases of suspected child sexual abuse in Clarion County.In one case, two men, 18 and 19 years old, allegedly raped a 16-year-old Emlenton boy several times at a Beaver Township home between June 2009 and January of this year.In the other case, a 17-year-old Sligo boy allegedly possessed a video and photographs of a 16-year-old Rimersburg girl engaged in sex acts. The images were sent via a cell phone between Sept. 2 and earlier this month.

2:35 a.m. Sunday — Helen Dongilli, 51, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 268 at the Hill Top Plaza in East Franklin Township.Sunday — An unknown thief smashed out a window and stole a hunting rifle and other unspecified items from a Worthington man's pickup truck at the Hill Top Bar parking lot in West Kittanning. The theft happened between 8:30 p.m. Saturday and 6:20 a.m. Sunday.5:05 p.m. Friday — No one was injured in a three-vehicle, chain-reaction accident on Route 28 about one-half mile south of exit 11 in Harmar Township, Allegheny County.The crash happened when a car driven by Chad Farster, 31, of Leechburg, Armstrong County, rear-ended a sport utility vehicle driven by Jason Schutter, 34, of West Newton, Westmoreland County. The collision, in turn, forced the SUV into the back of a pickup truck driven by Richard J. Sutton Jr., 49, of Gibsonia.7:55 a.m. Friday — An unknown object fell from the Iron Bridge overpass and struck a vehicle traveling on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township. The driver, Frank Gadley, 42, of Kittanning, was not hurt but his vehicle became disabled after the accident.

4:40 p.m. Sunday — One person was hurt in a single vehicle crash on Interstate 79 in Springfield Township. The driver, Adam M. Sweetland, 26, of Pittsburgh, lost control of his car and hit the end of a guardrail. The car rolled over and landed on its wheels in the median.Sweetland, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries. Police said he was cited for a lane violation.4:30 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Coty L. Throwbridge, 20, of Harrisville and a sport utility vehicle driven by Megan C. Fowler, 28, of Grove City collided at Route 173 and Airport Road in Pine Township. Police said Throwbridge was cited for failing to yield the right of way.Saturday — Kyle G. Watts, 18, of Valencia was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was found asleep behind the wheel of his car in a road side ditch on George Junior Road near Route 173 in Pine Township.

Saturday — An unknown vandal fired a gun that left a hole in the outside wall of a home on Burns Road in Plain Grove Township. The vandalism happened between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
