Jorge Olan

PITTSBURGH — Jorge Olan received a 2016 Alcoa Foundation Scholarship.

Olan is the son of Veronica Aragon-Olan and Jorge Olan of Cranberry Township.

Olan graduated from Seneca Valley High School, where he was involved in both academic and community activities. He was the varsity soccer captain and a state finalist. He also became a member of the National Honor Society and the National Science Honor Society. He served as a UPMC volunteer.

Olan will attend Allegheny College to study neuroscience. He plans to go to medical school and become a surgeon.

Alcoa Foundation scholarship recipients are selected based on aptitude for academic achievement, leadership, community service, character and employment.
