SUMMIT TWP — The three Summit Academy escapees have not been found, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

Trooper Greg Hays, who is investigating the case, said Tuesday the students and the vehicle are still missing after the three boys sped away around 8 p.m. Monday in an academy-owned, black Chevrolet Equinox.

Summit Academy is a school for troubled teens on Herman Road in Summit Township.

The trio was last reported seen Monday night on Bonniebrook Road driving toward Route 356. Hays said the teens were likely heading toward Philadelphia, which is where they are from.

Hays said he has sent a warrant to their probation office to begin the process of charging them with escape, receiving stolen property and conspiracy to escape for each juvenile.
