Maddy Eury recorded her 500th career varsity assist and finished with 19 on the night to lead Moniteau girls volleyball to a 3-0 (31-29, 25-15, 26-24) win over North Clarion.

Eury added eight aces and six digs. Emily Matz paced the Warriors’ attack with 11 kills and eight aces, plus 13 digs. Sayge Brunst added 10 digs, six kills and a block.

Freeport 3, Ligonier Valley 0 — The Yellowjackets (6-0, 3-0 section) remained perfect on the season after winning 25-11, 25-12, 25-11. Jamie Radvan, Emily Boylan and Evie Tola each had seven kills. Lauren Helgren and Lucy Majerski tallied six and five, respectively.

Mars 3, West Allegheny 1 — Gabi Weidemann dished out 45 assists, had 14 digs and served four aces in the Planets’ win (no set scores provided). Kate Southwell also had a double-double with 17 kills and 14 digs, and Reese Connelly added 16 kills and nine digs.

Knoch 3, Central Valley 2 — Emma Rivers had nine kills and Olivia Hawk 21 digs for the Knights (4-2, 3-0 section) in a 17-25, 18-25, 27-25, 25-23, 15-10 comeback victory.

North Allegheny 3, Butler 1 — Raina Lewandowski paced the Golden Tornado in a 20-25, 25-13, 25-18, 25-13 loss. The senior had 14 kills, seven blocks and seven digs. Janess Robinson added three blocks and two aces.

Keystone 3, Karns City 0 — Addison Fox led the Gremlins with 12 assists, eight digs, three kills and an ace in a 25-19, 25-17, 25-15 loss. Mya Jones and Adeline Hills each had four kills, and Hills added four aces.

Cranberry Area 3, Union 0 — Lilly Hayden had 25 digs in Union’s 25-20, 25-13, 25-23 loss, and Emma Kifer had three aces and eight digs. The leaders in kills were Haley Corle and Kolstin Wetzel with three each.

Harbor Creek 3, Slippery Rock 1 — Lexi Caldwell reached 1,000 career assists and ended the night with 22 in a 17-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-16 home loss. Gia Kovacik recorded 10 kills and five digs, and Lyla Runtas had 18 digs.

Brookville 3, A-C Valley 2 — Lexi Altman had 19 assists and 13 digs, Gianna Louise had 13 kills and 13 digs, and Jacci Dehart had 12 blocks and five kills in the loss (set scores: 23-25, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21, 15-7).

Trevor Rumbaugh knocked in the game-winning goal with less than three minutes to play to give Karns City a 2-1 victory over North Clarion. Rumbaugh assisted earlier in the game on a goal by Ty McFarland, and Brock Dittman recorded eight saves in net, included a pivotal stop a few minutes before Rumbaugh’s winner.

Knoch 9, Leechburg 0 — Luke Myers had a huge five-goal, two-assist night in the blowout. The Knights’ defense had little trouble and gave Ryan Karwoski just one save opportunity. Chase Sasse, Walker Stewart, Cam Rial and Tyler Galvan had the other goals.

North Catholic 9, South Side 1 — Ryan Mueser, Jackson Schlegel and Jake Olkowski each had a brace (two goals) and an assist for the Trojans. Josh Bondra recorded two assists.

Plum 2, Mars 0 — No other information was provided from this game.

Phoebe Brandon scored a pair of goals and Bree O’Donnell tallied the other in Karns City’s 3-0 win over Forest Area, bouncing back from Monday’s loss to North Catholic. Katelyn VanDyke had two assists and Carley Conto another for the Gremlins.

Butler cruised to an easy win over North Hills, which rested several top runners, according to Butler head coach Mike Seybert. Brendan Eicher, Landon Slear and Mateo Saspe finished as a bunch just under 18:39 for the top three spots in the boys race, a 15-50 victory. Macie McLister and Zari Golojuh crossed in 22:22.97 and 22:22.99, respectively, to lead a 15-50 Butler win in the girls race.

Butler beat Kiski Area 4-1 for its second win in consecutive nights. Cassie Busler beat Ella Faybik in a Singles 1 battle, the match of the afternoon, 6-4, 5-7, 10-7. Tornado teammate Lindsay Lipp (Singles 2), and doubles pairs Devan Christofano and Cassie Sklencar, and Brooke Loomis and Raegan Conaway won in straight sets.

Joe Rapp wrapped up the KSAC regular season with a 34 in the final mega match at Hunter’s Station Golf Course, finishing second behind Keystone Sean Karg by a stroke. Rapp’s effort paced A-C Valley/Union (165 total strokes), which finished the day fourth. Karns City came in third (157), led by Liam Hobaugh’s round of 38 (tied seventh). Moniteau came in fifth (169), with Isaac Book and Carson Beck each shooting 40.

Keystone won the KSAC regular season, with the Warriors, Falcon Knights and Gremlins finishing third, fourth and fifth.

Seneca Valley 190, North Allegheny 195 — Jacob Wallace led the Raiders with a 35 at North Park Golf Course, birdying the final two holes. Will Pefferman shot par on all nine holes to finish with a 36, and Lucas Barber and Josh Marquardt each had a 39.

Slippery Rock 8th at Marquette Invitational — Meadville won with a 303 total, 15-over, and the Rockets shot a 46-over 334 at Meadville Country Club. Sam Smochek led the Rockets, tying for 25th with a 9-over 81.

Elise Wadas carded a 42 to lead Mars to a 190-229 victory against Ambridge at Fox Run Golf Course. Emily Tillapaugh finished with a 44.
