Center hosts book sale

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock Township Community Center, 155 Branchton Road, will host a book sale from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Debit and credit cards will be accepted.

Good Friday breakfast planned

GIBSONIA — The Good Friday Women’s Breakfast is at 8 a.m. April 19 at Bakerstown United Methodist Church, 5760 William Flinn Highway.

Reservations are needed. The guest speaker is the Rev. Alyce Weaver Dunn.

Child Check screenings set

Lifesteps’ Child Check program is a free service to local families providing screenings for developmental delays in children birth to age 5. Autism screenings are also available for toddlers beginning at 18 months.

The next screenings will be from 9 a.m. to noon April 15 at the Lifesteps Butler County Program Center, 383 New Castle Road.

Families Forever seminar slated

A Families Forever seminar, offered by Lifesteps, will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Lifesteps, 300 Stirling Village.

Families Forever teaches parents how to minimize the negative effects on children involved in divorce and custody.
