7:50 a.m. Thursday — A car driven by Marcella L. Huey, 44, of Butler and a car driven by Cynthia L. Workman, 47, of Butler collided at the intersection of West North and North Chestnut streets. Workman suffered minor injuries and Huey was cited for a stop sign violation.1:20 p.m. Saturday — Alexander Chrzanowski, 18, of Butler was charged with theft by unlawful taking after he allegedly stole a total of about $250 in cash during his time as an employee at Kmart on Hansen Avenue.

8:24 p.m. Wednesday — A silver, four-door sedan struck another vehicle at the intersection of North Center and Erie streets, then fled the scene headed east on Erie Street. Anyone with information should call police at 724-458-7925.11 a.m. Wednesday — A pickup truck driven by Jack J. Vereb, 72, of Harrisville struck two utility poles along North Broad Street. Vereb suffered minor injuries.Tuesday — A knitting bag was reported stolen from a vehicle parked along Blaine Street.Oct. 11 — A delivered package containing the workout DVDs “Hip Hop Abs” was stolen from 334 College Ave.

10:30 a.m. Thursday — Charles G. Griffin, 39, of Pittsburgh was arrested by the Butler County Drug Task Force on charges of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, criminal conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance. Griffin allegedly sold crack cocaine to an undercover task force officer in Butler on March 22.

6:55 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Jennifer L. Benson, 19, of Yardley, Pa., struck a deer on Route 8 in Brady Township. After being struck, the deer bounced onto the hood and windshield of a SUV driven by Theresa A. Fink, 61, of Oil City, then landed on the hood and windshield of a third car, driven by Dana M. Flick, 35, of Slippery Rock. Fink suffered minor injuries.6:15 a.m. Tuesday — Someone stole about 65 feet of copper wire belonging to Hey Electric of Butler from its construction site at Iron Mountain Mines in Cherry Township. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.3:40 p.m. Monday — An unknown vehicle struck a car driven by William F. Heim, 82, of Depew, N.Y., while both were driving south on I-79 in Jackson Township, then fled the scene.12:35 p.m. Monday — A vehicle driven by Christopher A. Stivason, 24, of Butler and a car driven by Caitlin L. Weaver, 21, of Conneaut Lake, collided on Chicora Road near Valley Vista Lane in Oakland Township. Stivason allegedly left the scene, then later called police to provide his information, and was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and following too closely.

7:52 p.m. Monday — A van driven by Judy A. McFadden, 64, of Mercer and a car driven by Tara L. Oakes, 21, of Grove City collided on Irishtown Road in Pine Township. McFadden was cited for vehicles turning left, and Oakes was cited for driving at unsafe speed.1:11 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Donald J. Wagoner, 80, of Evans City and a van driven by Robert T. Larson, 79, of Hubbard, Ohio, collided at the intersection of Pulaski Mercer and Bethel Wilmington roads. Donald Wagoner and his passenger Patricia C. Wagoner, 75, of Evans City, as well as Robert Larson and his passenger Phyllis J. Larson, 77, of Hubbard, Ohio, each suffered minor injuries. Donald Wagoner was cited for a stop sign violation.8:40 p.m. Saturday — Shawn M. Aikins, 30, of Grove City was charged with DUI after the car he allegedly was driving struck a utility pole and a house along Barkeyville Road near Tower Road in Pine Township. Aikins suffered a minor injury.

12:10 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Ann M. Badger, 57, of New Wilmington and a motorcycle driven by James R. Mayberry, 44, of Volant collided at the intersection of Route 208 and Edgebrook Lane in Wilmington Township, Lawrence County. Mayberry suffered major injuries and Badger was cited for vehicles turning left.
