Bear necessities
The Jim Keffalas family in Butler Township got an unexpected visitor early today. At 1 a.m. they were awakened by their dogs barking at a black bear 20 feet from their house on McCalmont Road. The bear knocked down a pole-mounted bird feeder to eat the sunflower seeds. The bear stayed at the feeder for 45 minutes until being scared off.
