SLIPPERY ROCK TWP — State police are investigating a not-so-typical burglary over the weekend at a township home.

Investigators suspect that a burglar between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday broke in through the front door at the home in the 400 block of Stillwater Lane.

Once inside the house, the suspect headed for the refrigerator. The burglar stole a 12-pack of beer.

But that wasn’t all.

The suspect took a frozen dinner out of the freezer and put it in the oven, setting the oven at 500 degrees.

The burglar left but not before setting the home’s thermostat to 90 degrees.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.
