Seen in Slippery Rock
Richard Bowser of Slippery Rock spotted this black bear in his backyard about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. He said that the bear came out of the woods, grabbed some garbage from his property and then went back into the woods. His house is on New Castle Street just west of the downtown area. Bowser said he had never seen a bear before at his house, but said that a neighbor apparently had a bear in his yard a few weeks ago.
