David Olesnevich

Olesnevich

David Edward Olesnevich, 42, of Pittsburgh, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026.

Born Aug. 28, 1984, in Butler, he was the son of Daniel L. Olesnevich and the late Laneice (Macurdy) Olesnevich.

David graduated from Knoch High School in 2003, and Grove City College in 2008. At Grove City, he became an active member of the Pan Sophic Fraternity and built lifelong friendships.

David was a partner at Absolute Heating and Air in West Virginia, where he connected with colleagues and customers across the community. He enjoyed his partnership with the Jackson family and his role in the company’s significant growth. Those who knew him, both personally and professionally, will feel his loss deeply.

David enjoyed spending time at camp and on the river, attending tractor pulls, playing cards and cheering on his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams.

Above all, David loved being a father to his son, Logan. He nurtured Logan’s four-year-old imagination and helped him grow spiritually, sharing a love and faith that will remain an enduring part of his son’s life. His family will continue to share stories, photographs and memories so that Logan will always know how deeply his father loved him.

In addition to Logan, David is survived by his father, Daniel; his brother, Matthew L. (Erin) Olesnevich, and their daughter, Ava, of Raleigh, N.C.; and his sister, Rachel Robinson, and her children, Kristofer, Elyzabith and Madelyn, of Butler. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Laneice, in June. His family takes comfort in knowing they are reunited.
