Katherine E. Fox, 84, of Mars, formerly of Butler, died at 11:25 a.m. Friday at UPMC Passavant Cranberry.

Born Sunday, Feb. 5, 1922, in DuBois, she was the daughter of James and Grace Bush Knepp.

She attended church at St. John's Specialty Care Center. She liked to play cards and bingo, and loved planting flowers in her flower garden. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Grace) Flanigan of Kittanning, Mrs. Lewis (Viola "Sue") Biffaretti of Butler, and Mrs. Russell (Sandra) Kurigur of Butler; three sons, Russell "Butch" Fox of Valencia, Ernest "Red" Fox of Butler, and Herbie Fox of Butler; 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, a granddaughter, a great-grandson, a great- granddaughter, a sister and a brother.

<B>FOX </B>— Friends of Katherine E. Fox, who died Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W, Jefferson St., Butler. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev.
