Pollock

Vernon L. Pollock, 90, of Bruin, passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, at Magnolia Place in Saxonburg.

Born April 5, 1936, he was the son of the late Merle and Sarah Gaye Jordon Pollock. He graduated from Parker High School in 1954. Vern worked at the former Witco Chemical Plant in Petrolia for 37 years, first in the carbon plant and later in the boiler house, retiring in 2001.

He was married to Nancy Ada Walker Pollock on Aug. 26, 1961, who preceded him in death on March 21, 2026.

He and his family cherished vacationing together, and in later years, he and his wife explored many states and traveled abroad. Vern was an avid deer hunter on their family farm in Clarion County. He took great pride in maintaining an immaculate yard and garden. He and Nancy shared a love for basketball and baseball, but their greatest joy came from attending their grandsons’ activities and loving their family.
