Middlesex supervisor wins easily

He may have no opposition in fall

MIDDLESEX TWP — The vice chairman of the board of supervisors will move on to the general election in November, having handily defeated his opponent.

Incumbent Don Marshall, who was elected in 2009 to the six-year term on the board of supervisors, ran against newcomer Gregory Mason in the Republican race.

In the Middlesex south precinct, Marshall earned 203 votes to Mason’s 114. In the north precinct, Marshall beat Mason 268 votes to 118.

No Democratic candidates ran for the seat.

Barring write-in candidates, Marshall will run unopposed in the November election.

Marshall and Mason could not be reached for comment on Tuesday night.
