Power out in Jackson, Lancaster
About 1,500 customers of Penn Power in Lancaster and Jackson townships were without power from 3:15 a.m. Wednesday until 1:30 p.m. Thursday because a power line failed near the Zelienople substation, said company spokesman Chris Eck.
He said the power interruption lasted so long because the line failure required workers to install a new pole.
The incident also impacted customers in Beaver County.
